DAPKAS SGM 10/100/500MG tablet is a prescription anti-diabetic medicine used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and earlier treatment are not enough. It combines Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, Sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, and Metformin, a biguanide, to target blood sugar in different ways. This triple-combination medicine may help lower HbA1c while supporting weight goals and treatment convenience. Common strengths vary by brand and may include dapagliflozin 5 or 10 mg, sitagliptin 50 or 100 mg, with metformin 500 mg, 850 mg, or 1000 mg in immediate- or extended-release forms.

Take DAPKAS SGM 10/100/500MG exactly as prescribed, usually with food to reduce stomach upset from metformin. Drink enough water, especially in hot weather, because dapagliflozin can increase urination and raise the risk of dehydration. Do not stop the medicine suddenly without medical advice. During fever, vomiting, poor oral intake, major surgery, or dehydration, ask your doctor whether this medicine should be temporarily paused. Sitagliptin increases incretin activity, which helps the body release insulin when blood sugar is high and lowers glucagon. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin. Together, they help control blood sugar more effectively in type 2 diabetes.

Pregnancy

This combination should be used in pregnancy only if your doctor clearly recommends it. Dapagliflozin is generally not recommended during pregnancy, so treatment review is important before conception or as soon as pregnancy is confirmed.

Alcohol

Driving
