GLIMP MP 2 tablet contains glimepiride + pioglitazone + metformin, a triple-combination oral anti-diabetic medicine used for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and dual therapy do not provide adequate control. It combines a sulfonylurea, a thiazolidinedione, and a biguanide to provide three-way blood sugar control—one improves insulin release, another increases insulin sensitivity, and the third reduces glucose production in the liver while improving peripheral glucose use. GLIMP MP 2 tablet is commonly available in strengths such as 1 mg/15 mg/500 mg and 2 mg/15 mg/500 mg, with the GLIMP MP 2 dosage adjusted according to HbA1c, fasting glucose, weight, and kidney function.
